What’s in a Model’s Arsenal?

A model’s bag is their secret weapon. Whether at a shoot, interview, or agency you should always have these essential items to keep you prepared for everything.

Men’s bag

Headshots and/or your Portfolio

You should always have your headshots or portfolio even while at a shoot. They should be organized, and done by a professional. If you don’t have a portfolio you should book an appointment with a professional photographer.

Undergarments

You should keep boxers, boxer briefs and low rise briefs with you that are form fitting to your body. Also bringing clean white and black t-shirts or tanks can also be a good idea.

Lip balm

You never want to have cracked or dry lips at a shoot, or interview. Bringing lip balm will help keep your lips hydrated.

Hand/face lotion

Along with having hydrated lips, you also want your hands and face to be just as moisturized.

Deodorant

Don’t get caught in a bad situation because of sweat. Bring deodorant to keep you smelling fresh.

Breath Mints

When talking to people all day, the last thing you want is bad breathe. This being said, never bring gum with you. Chewing gum can give people a bad impression, and could be distracting.

Bottle of Water

Keep yourself and your throat hydrated with a bottle of water.

Brush or comb

You always want to look your best, keeping a brush or comb with you can help improve your look anywhere.

Notebook and Pen

Bringing a notebook and a pen makes you look prepared, and helps keep all your important information in a safe place.

Something to kill boredom

There may be long downtime between shoots, so you need something to keep you from looking bored. Bringing something like an iPod or a book can really help, as long as you aren’t distracting any people around you.
